The Past Few Months in Pictures.

These are pictures of Cole while He was in the Hospital right after he was born. It is so sad to me to see the feeding tube in his nose. I'm so glad that he is better.

Monday, March 16, 2009

It has been a rough couple of days for our family. Cole had been home for 11 days, and started getting a cold, which in turn caused him to have severe apnea. His alarm started going off a lot on Saturday, and progressively worsened early Sunday morning. It was all that I could do to stimulate him to take a breath. Craig and I took him to the Childrens Emergency room, and He was admitted to the Pediatric ICU. He had a really hard day on Sunday, and was almost intubated. That means that they would have had to put a tube into his lungs to breath for him. He is on multiple medications, to help stimulate him to take a breath, but is doing much better today. Please pray that the Lord continues to heal his tiny body, so that he can come home and play with his brother ans sister. I will keep you all updated!

He's Home!

Cole is Home! I have A TON of pictures that I need to post, and I will do it as soon as I have a little time. Thank you all for your prayers. He is healthy and doing great. The other two however, are both running fever and coughing. They have to go see the Doctor tommorrow.

UPDATE!

Cole is still in NICU, but eating much better. He can actually finish a bottle without having to be tube fed. His Doctor is going to send him home on an apnea monitor, not because he is having a lot of apnea, but more for my piece of mind. She also said that as long as he continues to eat like he has been, he will go home sometime this week. Yay! Thank you all so much for your prayers. They are all so needed.

Introducing!!!!!!!

Michael "Cole" Roberson
Birthdate: February 23, 2009
@ 7:54pm
Weight: 5lbs 10.4oz
Length: 20.5 in

Cole is still in NICU, but doing great. He has passed all the tests that he needs to pass before we can come home, except for the fact that he hasn't figured out how to eat. He eats small amounts from the bottle, and has to be tube fed the rest. Hopefully he will pick up on it pretty quickly, being that that is all that he has to do before we can come home. He lost some weight right after birth, as all babies do, but is now back up to 5lbs 6oz. He is so sweet, and he looks exactly like Mason. Please continue to pray that he picks up on the feeding thing pretty quickly, so that he can come home. Love you all!
I will post more pictures soon, but I have to be back at the hospital at 5 for his next feeding.
Also, Happy Birthday to my sweet nephew Luke, who turned 2 today. So sorry that we can't be there to celebrate with you. We love you!

SOON!

Here are a few pictures of me in all my pregnant glory. HaHa! I have never let anyone take pictures of me while I have been pregnant, but since this is the last time I will ever be pregnant, I figured I would let it happen. Theses pictures were taken today at my Mom and Dad's house and hopefully in a week or two from this very day, I will be holding our third child.

This is my sister Aaron's daughter Kellyn.

This is my sister Sarah's daughter Kambell.

And this is me and our third child. Maybe I am having a basketball! Only one more week to go!

So, I have had a few pregnancy wows the last few weeks. It all started around 30 weeks, when I started having premature contractions. When I went to the Doctor, we found that I was dilated to a 2, so he sent me to a specialist. While there, we learned that I was having contractions every 5-7 minutes. I was placed in the hospital for a while in order to get the contractions under control, and then sent home on multiple medications. I have to see the specialist every week, and my OB every other week, which is tiring, but worth it if it means having a healthy baby Boy/Girl. I see the specialist again in the morning, and there we will do another ultrasound and non-stress test to see how the baby is reacting to the contractions, which by the way I am having more often. So, after tomorrow, he will schedule an amniocentesis, and if the baby's lungs arm mature, he is going to take me off the medications and just let the baby come, which means probably around my birthday, March 6th. I cannot wait to find out what we are having, and to meet my sweet baby!

Baby Names!

Several of you have asked what names we have picked out for our new Boy/Girl. Because we have gone with Family names for both of our kids, we are going to once again use a family name for this baby. Cole is Craig's Mom's maiden name, so if it is a boy, his name will be Ethan Cole, but he will go by Cole. And if it is a girl, her name will be Blakely Cole, but we will call her Blake. I have a thing with boy names for girls. However, I really think this is a boy, so more than likely the name is Ethan Cole. I guess we will see soon enough. If I don't stop having all of these contractions, we may see sooner than later. I am however trying my hardest to stay off my feet like the Doctor instructed me to do, but it's tough when you have two kids. I'll keep you all updated!

Yay For My Mom's Computer!

Well I was finally able to upload a few pictures of our house and our kids, thanks to my Mom's computer. They are in no particuler order, because I really have no idea how to change the order that I upload them in. Hope you all enjoy, and I am sorry that there are so many.

This is a picture of how my kids look on a daily basis. People always comment on how Reece and Mason are always so put together, with there clothes ironed and their hair fixed. This is a true representation of what goes on behind closed doors.
We love you Eric! We have worn out our #12 jerseys this year.

Our Basement

This picture should really be at the end, because it is a picture of the forms that were set for the slab that will be poured next week after the plumbing is done. This is our house without walls.

Before we broke ground.

Stay tuned for more pictures in the next couple of weeks. Love you all!

I Wish I Had a Computer!

It has been many months since we took our computer to the Doctor, and still, I have no computer in my house. It's been rough. I have so many pictures that I need to post and no way to post them. I guess I could go up to Craig's office and use his brand new Mac, but I have no idea how to use the thing. So, sorry that I have no pictures to show, but here is an update on what has been going on.

As far as the pregnancy goes, everything, well almost everything, is okay. I have been having contractions for the last few weeks, so on Monday, the Dr checked me and I was dilated to a 2! Since I am only 31 weeks, we really need to try and keep this baby from coming out for at least 5-6 more weeks. I am now on light duty at work, and will be going part-time in 3 weeks. I am also taking this medication called Terbutaline to help slow them down. So far the medication has helped, however, it hasn't completely stopped them. The medication is awful! It makes me shaky and it causes my heart to beat really fast. The baby however is doing great. The ultrasound showed the baby to weigh about 3 1/2 pounds, which is pretty big for 30 weeks, (that's what I was when I had it done). That would be my husbands fault. He tends to make Big Babies.

The house is finally coming along! We have a basement, and this morning they will start framing it out. The concrete guys are also starting today on the slab, which means that plumbing and the rest of the frame work will begin at the first of next week. It has been a long time coming, so it is so nice to have finally gotten it started. The estimated move-in month is June, but good weather could mean a May move-in date. The baby will already be here of course, so the sooner the house is ready, the better.

Craig is unbelievably busy at work, so I don't get to see him as much as I would like to, but being busy is good when you own your business, so I won't complain. Mason and Reece are both getting over ear infections and sinus infections, which was a load of fun for everyone involved. Other than that, they have been great. The weather has been so nice the last few days, which has meant lots of jumping on the trampoline and bike riding, and I have been slowly going through the kids closets, and taking things to Goodwill. It feels so good to be clutter free.

I guess that is about it for now. I will try and post pictures of the kids and the house as soon as I either get a computer or I can talk Craig into downloading them for me on his computer. My guess is that it will have to wait until I get a new computer.

Home Stretch!

I'm am officially in my third trimester. Yeah!!!!! I would post a picture of myself, but I am not really fond of the way that I look when I'm pregnant, so no pictures have been taken. Anyways, I don't have much to post, so bye bye for now.

P.S. We should be breaking ground on our new house in the next 2 weeks, so stay tuned for pictures!

My Baby is Two!!!

It is so hard to believe that Reece turned two on the friday after Thanksgiving. We are having her birthday party on the 6th at her Sassy and Pa's house. She just keeps singing Happy Birthday to herself over and over. It is the sweetest thing!
I cannot tell you how much she means to her Dad and I, as well as her extended family. She is so happy and fun to be around. She is always laughing! I couldn't ask for a better daughter. She is truly a blessing to our family.
There are so many things that I love about her, but a few of my favorites are:

1. I love the way that she pats my back when she hugs me
2. I love her HUGE brown eyes
3. I love how she calls her brother "Mase" instead of Mason
4. I love the way she sings herself to sleep, with songs that she has made-up herself.
5. I love her passion for shoes! (a girl after my own heart)
6. I love that she loves her Daddy more than anyone else.
7. I love that she thinks her brother hung the moon.
8. I love that she kisses my stomach and says "hi sister"
9. I love that she is so independent!
10. I LOVE THAT THE LORD CHOSE TO BLESS ME WITH SUCH A PRESCIOUS GIFT!

I love you sweet girl, and I hope that these last two years has been just as great for you as they have been for your Daddy and I. Happy Birthday!

It Has To Be a Boy!

So we had a sonogram this morning, and everything was great. Nothing was out of the ordinary! His/Her heart looked good, brain looked good, he/she had 2 kidneys, a bladder, a HEART! The baby measured a week ahead of our due date, amniotic fluid levels were normal, and so on. So, what I am trying to say is the baby is very healthy, and the baby looks exactly like Mason! They did a 4-D ultrasound of the face, and I almost fell off the table. This child looks so much like Mason did when he was born. I looked back at our 3-D sonogram pictures of Mason, and they look just alike.
It's a little weird to think about what your kids will look like. Will it look like the other two? Will it look completely different? And I have to admit, although I thought at the time that he was the cutest thing ever, Mason was not the best looking kid when he was born. He quickly changed from that scrawny, frail looking newborn into a chubby, healthy looking baby, but those first few days were iffy! JK!
Even though we didn't find out the sex of our baby, everything about it, the movements, the face, everything, made me think BOY! I am telling you all, that this baby has to be boy. I guess there is a 50/50 chance, so we will see in about 15 weeks! Sorry that I couldn't post ultrasound pictures, but the disk drive is malfunctioning on the laptop. (I'm praying for a new Apple computer for Christmas!)

Numero Tres

Well, I am now two weeks away from being half way through my pregnancy. I am 18 weeks tomorrow, which for me, could mean that I am already half way there. Mason busted out at 37 weeks, and Reece, just short of 36 weeks. So in reality, I could be at the half way point as we speak. He/She moves non stop, which is great, because if it weren't for the moving, I would forget that I was even pregnant. It's sad, but I am so busy with the other two that I don't have time to think about anything else. Oh, just kidding, I do think about the fact that I am extremely tired, all the time!
It has been very busy at my house with Mason in school every Tuesday and Thursday, and Miss Reece running around all over the place. Her favorite past time is singing to her babies. Sometimes the songs are made-up and sometimes they are real songs. My favorites are those that come from her heart. She talks so clearly. Sometimes I feel like I am talking to a little women. She is learning her colors, and can get through most of the alphabet without a problem. Sometimes at night when she is going to bed, I can hear her singing them over the monitor. And her greatest accomplishment as of lately, is the fact that she has potty trained herself. She still has the occasional accident, but hey, she's not even 2 yet. She loves her Daddy with everything that she has, and the same can be said for Him. She is a sweet little girl, with a big attitude, and I couldn't ask for a better daughter.
Mason has become a little man. He can recognize almost every letter in the alphabet, which is fun, because we can be driving, and if he sees a stop sign, he yells, "Mom, that's an "S"a"T" and a "P" He can spell his name, recognize it, and lately has been trying to write it. He loves sports, and if you meet him, he will be sure to let you know that he is going to play football when he grows-up. He looks forward to being "as big as Daddy", and he can't wait to be 4 like Kaden.(His Best Buddie/Cousin) He is in awe of the fact that Jesus lives in our hearts, and he asks me frequently why he can't see Him. The other day I heard him tell his sister not to hit him because "Jesus can see you, and it isn't nice to hit". He talks often of how Jesus died on the cross for us, and how "nice" it was for Him to do that for us. He has such a sweet spirit, and it weren't for the fact that he has a bit of OCD, he throws fits every once in a while, and he's human, he would be perfect!

P.S. We have purchased all of the lumbar for our house, and once our plans are approved through the City, we will sign for our loan. Yeah! There is no turning back now! I will keep you all posted on the progress. Pics to follow soon.

It's Flying By!

Well, as of today, I am officially into my second trimester. It has flown by! When you are busy with two other kiddos, you often forget that you are even pregnant, or at least that's how it's been with me. That fact makes me really sad, being that this is the last time I will be pregnant. (unless the Lord has other plans, and tying my tubes doesn't work) I want so badly to enjoy this time, but it is hard when I am so busy with being a Wife/Mom, and working a full time job.

Anyway, enough of my sob story. My life is great, and I can't wait to meet my Son or Daughter (my guess is daughter, but we won't know that until He/She is born)

P.S. My sweet baby girl isn't a baby anymore! In two short months, she will be 2!

I'm Going Crazy!

Well, its been a crazy two weeks. It all started on the 15th, when we took a trip to San Antonio with our friends Billy and Courtney. We had a blast, however, I didn't get a single picture. We floated the Guatalupe, did a ton of shopping for our kids, and ate at our favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot.
We were home with our kids for one day, only to leave again for Las Vegas. Vegas was my gift to Craig for his thirtieth birthday. My sister Sarah and her husband Aaron went along as well. We had alot of fun, however, the heat was unbelievable. While we were laying out by the pool, we got to see Deion Sanders, who used to play for the Dallas cowboys, so you can only imagine how excited the boys where. We stayed at the The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, in an amazing suit. We where only able to do that because we shared a room with my sister and brother in law. Other wise, it would have been way out of our price range. So thanks Sarah and Aaron, for putting up with Craig and I for 4 days.
We got back last Sunday, only for Mason to start preschool the next day. I cannot believe how big he is. He only goes to school two days a week and then he and Reece go to PDO on the days that I work. I can't wait for the new baby, because I get to go part time, and the kids can stay home with me. Part time for me will be just 2 days a week, which means I can still do what the Lord has called me to do , as well as what I love to do more than anything else, be with my family.

Here are a few pictures of the last 2 weeks This is Mason and Reece trying on a few of the new clothes we bought them in San Antonio. Can you believe how big Mason looks. :(

Vegas
I have no idea what I was doing with my face, but obviously I wasn't smiling. My stomach wasn't reacting well to all the food we had just eaten, or maybe it's the pregnancy, who knows.

Oh, and did I mention, we also got a puppy for Mason this week. Her name is Blue and she is a Chocolate Lab. Not sure why Mason chose Blue for a brown dog who is also a girl, but that's what he wanted, so that's her name. We have been waiting for her for a long time, so we are glad to finally have her. I think!
Yikes!
